Mogae, President of Botswana, 1998–2008 Murdoch University staff are invited to join with students and members of the wider African-Australian community in Perth for a morning of networking and inspirational conversation with one of the great statesmen of Africa.H.E. Festus. G. Mogae former president of Botswana will be in Perth to receive an honorary doctorate from Murdoch University. This prestigious honour is being added to His Excellency’s many other achievements including winning the Mo Ibrahim Prize for achievement in African Leadership and being awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion d’honneur of the French Government. The morning’s activities begin with an informal morning tea at 10.30am, providing an opportunity to network with students and local leaders of the African community in Perth.
