Sustainable September Event: ‘Gladdie Grab Challenge’ Date: 27th September 2014 Time: 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM Location: Banksia Woodland Reserve, located at the corner of Farrington Road and Campus Drive, on Murdoch University’s South Street campus. Meet at car park 7. Pink Gladiolus looks beautiful in a garden, but not our native bushland. Join the Murdoch Environmental Restoration Group (MERG) in the ‘Gladdie Grab Challenge’ to help remove this invasive weed from one of the South Street campus’ most special areas, the Banksia Woodland reserve. The Gladdie Grab Challenge is the last of a range of free and fun events that are being hosted at the South Street campus through the month of September to celebrate ‘Sustainable September’, a grassroots movement that highlights sustainability in our community. Removing Pink Gladdies will help protect the Banksia Woodland for our native orchids and other native plants. It’s easy and fun! Sign up a team of 4 or just come on your own, dress for the weather and wear enclosed shoes. Meet at car park 7 at 9am. The team that removes the most Gladiolus will win a great prize!
