Proposals via email eca.colloquium@murdoch.edu.au to Ruari Jack Hughes due by midnight Friday 17 October. 6th English and Creative Arts Colloquium 2014 Brian Hill Lecture Theatre Wednesday 3 December 2014 The Murdoch University English and Creative Arts Colloquium, established 2009, is an annual event providing a discipline-specific forum for students and academics in English and Comparative Literature, Creative Writing, Theatre and Drama Studies, to present their research as work-in-progress. The ECA Colloquium has evolved to be the major opportunity for academics and student researchers to hear and see what’s happening in Murdoch University’s English and Creative Arts research community. The ECA Colloquium has no particular theme. Presentations might focus on the nature of the overall project, a particular aspect of the study, a technique being employed, a specific discovery, or any other interesting aspect of the research. We need you to propose a paper/performance/poster to be presented at the 2014 ECA Colloquium. Presentations/performances 20 minutes + 10 minutes Q & A. Posters displayed throughout the day of the Colloquium with opportunities for researchers to talk informally about their work at appropriate times. Your proposal should total no more than 250 words; describe the topic, area or question of your research; provide an idea of the style — paper, performance, poster — in which you would like to present; detail any technology you may require; indicate the specific focus of your proposed presentation/performance/poster; present as a Word or PDF document, set in 12 point in any suitable font, double line spaced; include a brief personal biography not exceeding 75 words with contact information and history of study.
