Call for Nominations for Staff Consultative Groups Nominations are now re-open for two (2) elected Academic staff representatives and three (3) elected Professional staff representatives on the Consultative Groups required by the recent approval of the Murdoch University Enterprise Agreement 2014 by Fair Work Australia. No nominations were received from the call for nominations announced 29 July 2014. The role of each of the Consultative Groups is to act as a forum to raise and discuss industrial and workplace relations issues. The ASCG also acts as a source of members for other committees or panels. Meetings are generally held every three months. Each Consultative Group consists of members nominated by the University and by the respective unions, as well as those elected by staff. Persons elected or appointed to each of the Consultative Groups will remain as members for the life of the Enterprise Agreement. It currently has a nominal expiry date of 30 June 2016. The Agreement provides for two (2) elected Academic staff representatives and three (3) elected Professional staff representatives. If you wish to nominate for either of the consultative groups, please forward your nomination, including your name and for which Staff Consultative Group you are nominating, to Brendan Cusack, Industrial Relations Advisor, at b.cusack@murdoch.edu.au. Nominations close at 4.00pm on Tuesday 11 November 2014. If there are more nominations than positions an electronic ballot will be conducted in accordance with usual practice.
