Spotlight on Learning and Teaching practices at Murdoch We are proud of our Learning and Teaching traditions at Murdoch, and in working with colleagues across the university we are identifying exemplars of Learning and Teaching excellence. These will be promoted in upcoming strategy documentation and on the Learning and Teaching (L&T) webpage with videos and links to useful resources encouraging sharing of L&T practices. As part of this process, we would like to shine a spotlight on our finest L&T exemplars in our Schools. If you have suggestions for these case studies, please talk to your School Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching. Introducing CUTL The Centre for University Teaching and Learning (CUTL) continues to build on the long history of L&T support. As colleagues may know, Murdoch had one of the oldest L&T support units in Australia. CUTL has recently been joined by Associate Director Mike Bryant, who is working with colleagues there to deepen the support that CUTL provides for our staff and students. We welcome him to the university and look forward to his invaluable leadership of CUTL. CUTL are working on an initiative to develop the Learning Management System (LMS), collaborating closely with Schools on unit design and preparing a new training program for Murdoch early career academics. Academic staff can access CUTL services by speaking to an Associate Dean Learning and Teaching or contacting Mike Bryant on m.bryant@murdoch.edu.au.
