Recycling batteries provides a safe solution for their management, by diverting them from landfill or organic waste recovery facilities. Batteries contain toxic and non-renewable resources which are captured and safely managed during the recycling process.
We encourage you to bring your end-of-life batteries from home for recycling as well as those from your workplace.
Two sizes are available: an 8 litre bin, which is suitable for benchtops, reception areas, and other places where space may be a constraint, or a 30 litre bin, suitable for areas which generate a lot of battery use. The 30 litre bins are also useful as central ‘collection points’ for the 8 lt bins.
Battery bin ‘hosts’ are responsible for contacting Battery World for collection of their batteries.
To request battery recycling bins for your work area, please email fmhelpdesk@murdoch.edu.au
