Open letter of thanks from Salvation Army Hamilton Hill to Murdoch University
posted 27 January 2015 | Staff Announcement - (staff)
On behalf of the Salvation Army Hamilton Hill, I would like to say a huge thank you for your amazing support for our 2014 Christmas Appeal. With your generous donations, we were able to support over 200 households with over 900 people.
This support came in the form of toys, food, personal care items and gift cards, as well as emotional care. This is an amzing effort which shows that our comunity is able to aid and support members of the local community who are in need. Without you, this would not be possible and again, I would like to express our thanks.
Here's one quick story from someone who recieved our help...
A lady who was escaping domestic violence was stressed because she had no way of being able to do anything for Christmas since she had no money and was currenly in a refuge. This lady came to our centre to see if we could (and because of your donation, we were able to) help. we told her what we could offer her and she broke down in tears. These were not tears of sdaness but tears of joy as we were able to assist her and her children in having a Christmas full of joy during a hard time in their life.
This story is not the only one but one of many, all bcause you agreed to support us.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do. We are all about community and it is our passion to see the local commmunity support the local community.
Look forward to partnering together for the 2015 Christmas Appeal, if not sooner.
Blessings
