Free supervised exercise training program for 60+yrs

Are you 60 years or older? Interested in improving your health and well-being?
The School of Psychology and Exercise Science is seeking eligible volunteers to participate in an exercise study.
We are seeking to recruit:
- Individuals 60 years or older
- Willing to participate in a supervised exercise program
Why is this exercise important?
Loss of strength and muscle often accompanies aging and may lead to a reduced quality of life. We aim to investigate how different types of exercise may enhance health and wellbeing.
What will be required?
- Three supervised exercise sessions per week over the course of 18 weeks at Murdoch University.
- Four assessments with the first being before you begin the exercise sessions, one at the end of the week 6, one at the end of the week 12 and the final testing will be at the end of the week 18. These assessments will be conducted at the Exercise Science laboratory at Murdoch University and include:
i. Strength and muscle size
ii. Balance
iii. Quality of life
iv. Mood
