Talking about Teaching and Learning (TATAL)

Date: 26th March 2013
Time: 14:30 PM - 16:30 PM

Location: FTLR, 4.040, Nth wing Library

Talking about Teaching and Learning (TATAL) is a series of workshops for academics to reflect collaboratively on their teaching. Who is this for: Academics wishing to apply for learning and teaching grants and awards, and early career academics involved in the probationary process.

This workshop is the first in a program designed to provide regular space and time for academic teachers to reflect collaboratively on their teaching and their students' learning.  The first step is for each member to develop a Teaching Philosophy statement, which can take up to 10 workshop hours.

In the first session you will find out about the program, share experiences, and begin a philosophy statement. You can then elected to continue with the program if you wish.

Dates for the follow on sessions are to be announced. Sessions will ideally be weekly for the first few weeks, then fortnightly. There will be about 6 sessions in total.

The presenters are Robert Kennelly, HERDSA Fellow and researcher from the University of Canberra, and Lee Partridge from the UWA Centre for Advancement of Teaching and Learning
