New Easy Access Parking for staff with disability
posted 16 June 2015 | Staff Announcement - (staff)
Some aspects of the parking services for staff with disability are now changed at Murdoch University, South Street Campus.
Easy Access Parking is now available as separate from and in addition to ACROD Parking.
There is no change with respect to parking for staff with ACROD Parking Permits. For staff who do not have an ACROD Parking Permit, you may be eligible for an Easy Access Parking Permit if you:
- have a severe mobility or medical impairment where walking more than 50 metres causes the physical condition to deteriorate;
- require the use of a wheelchair, crutches, walking frame or other specific mobility aid; or
- are an expectant mother.
Easy Access Permit holders must also be current Red or Green zone Permit holders, and are entitled to park in the new bays that are designated as Easy Access Bays. Easy Access bays are located near ACROD bays. If an Easy Access bay is not available the holder of an Easy Access Parking Permit is entitled to park in any red or green zones. Note that the Easy Access Parking Permit does not entitle the holder to parking in an ACROD bay.
Both Easy Access and Red/Green parking permits must be displayed at all times.
