Help make History

posted 11 August 2015 | Staff Announcement - (staff)

Volunteers wanted to carry out oral history interviews. Training workshop by broadcaster Bill Bunbury on campus on August 24.

The University is collecting oral history interviews as part of a project celebrating the 50th anniversary of Murdoch in 2025.

The project team, led by Emeritus Professor Geoffrey Bolton, wants to gather a group of interested volunteers to carry out recorded interviews with current and former staff, students and others associated with key aspects of Murdoch’s story.

We are looking for volunteers, who are prepared to carry out interviews later this year and next.

To train volunteers to do these interviews, the history project is running a one-day workshop under the guidance of award-winning ABC broadcaster and oral historian Bill Bunbury, who is on the project committee.

The workshop will outline the project, show volunteers how to use the audio equipment and hone their interviewing techniques.

The workshop will run on Monday, 24 August in the media studios, School of Arts.
