Updated Conflict of Interest Policy

posted 15 September 2015 | Staff Announcement - (staff)

All staff are reminded that the University has a Conflict of Interest Policy. Please use the link below to view the policy;

https://policy.murdoch.edu.au/dotNet/documents/?docid=1524&LinkedFromInsertedLink=true&public=true

In particular, please note that if you are a member of University committee, panel or other decision making body, you should read section 12 which states:

 12. Involvement in Decision-Making Bodies

An employee or any other person, who is a member of a University committee or decision-making body, must declare any actual or potential conflict of interest in any matter under discussion by the committee or body, as soon as they become aware of the potential conflict. They should then withdraw from the meeting, unless given leave to remain, and must not have a casting vote on the matter.

If you are uncertain if you have a potential, perceived or actual conflict, please don’t hesitate to contact Kerrynne Batten, Director Internal Audit and Risk (x6167) to discuss.”
