Donate your unwanted clothing for Red Cross at Southbound 2016
posted 27 October 2015 | Staff Announcement - (staff)
Collection boxes can be found at the Communications office at the South Street Campus and in the main reception of the Peel Campus.
Murdoch University’s partnership with Sunset Events gets even bigger and better at Southbound 2016 (8-10 January 2016 in Busselton), and we need your help by donating any of your unwanted clothing to be a part of our Murdoch-Red Cross Recycled Clothing Stall in our "Bush Court" area at the Southbound Festival.
We are looking for items including:
- Summer clothing (the days are hot, hot, hot!)
- Cardigans and jumpers (as it gets cold at night)
- Accessories such as hats, sunglasses and anything else to compliment a perfect festival outfit
- Dress up costumes as festival goers love to get creative and stand out in the crowd. This year’s theme is ‘Disco Inferno’
We kindly ask for clothing and accessories to be in good condition and suitable for the key audience of festival goers aged between 18-35 years, who value sustainability and fashion (remember vintage/colour/bright loud prints are very on-trend).
The stall will be run by Murdoch University and Red Cross volunteers, who will also be helping to educate festival goers on the value of recycled clothing. Please note that all proceeds and unsold products from the Stall will go to our friends at the Red Cross.
Please drop off items by COB Wednesday 2 December 2015 in the Red Cross donation boxes at the Communications Office (Senate Building Room 1.001, just off Bush Court near the old Bank West) at the South Street Campus or main reception (beside Student Services in Building P101) at the Peel Campus, weekdays between 8:30am-4:30pm.
