Extension of Limited Service Period: Monday 21 December 2015 to 1 January 2016 inclusive
posted 10 November 2015 | Staff Announcement - (staff)
The University is scheduled to be closed from 23 December 2015 to 1 January 2016 comprising public holidays and days in lieu of holidays worked.
Therefore staff working in non-essential areas during the Limited Service Period are strongly encouraged to book annual leave for Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 December (unless already booked). This allows staff to take advantage of a complete two week rest period. Your efforts in clearing leave also assist the University financially.
It is understood that for some areas and individuals the Christmas period can be exceptionally busy, and for others it may be a quieter time. For this reason you will need to go through the normal approval process with your supervisor. Supervisors are to coordinate absences with their staff prior to Friday 4 December.
The University is committed to ensuring that all staff are able to maximise their health and wellbeing. An important component of this is being able to take adequate leave from work on a regular basis in order to ‘rest and recharge’. For this reason staff are encouraged to take a longer break over the festive period to recharge their batteries.
