Successful community cinema season comes to a close.

The popular McDonald Community Cinemas season at Murdoch concluded over the weekend, as the University prepares to stage a number of exciting on-campus events.
Over the next week, Lower Bush Court will transform from outdoor cinema to graduation central, with graduation ceremonies held on February 15, 17 and 19. This will be followed by Music@Murdoch on Sunday February 21. The free ticketed event will bring the community together as we host the Perth Symphony Orchestra, and the music of Adele, Michael Buble, Robbie Williams and Maroon 5. Get in now for the last VIP tickets.
The decision to end the outdoor cinema season early was a joint decision, made to minimise the financial impact on McDonald Community Cinemas who were required to reinstate the cinema after graduation week.
We’re pleased the partnership is set to be extended, with McDonald's Community Cinemas CEO Ken Gibbons recently confirming the organisation “is committed to the venue at Murdoch University” for the next two years.
McDonald's Community Cinemas proudly donates all its profits to charities improving the quality of life of kids in a health or physical ability crisis. Last year Murdoch University helped McDonald Community Cinemas to raise more than $800,000 for children’s charities.
Murdoch would like to extend an enormous thanks to all the staff and student volunteers who assisted throughout the season.
