This is a final call for nominations for one Professional staff member on the UniSuper Consultative Committee.
UniSuper Consultative Committee
Nominations are currently being accepted for the following position:
- One Professional staff member on the UniSuper Consultative Committee who is (from clause 9.1 of the UniSuper trust deed):
A) a Member
B) a member of the Professional staff of the Employer; and
C) elected by the Professional staff of the Employer who are Members
To represent Professional Staff on the UniSuper Consultative Committee being for a 4-year term expiring in February 2020.
What is the role of a UniSuper Consultative Committee member?
- Attend Consultative Committee meetings (held every November in Melbourne)
- Prepare for Consultative Committee meeting agenda items by reading relevant correspondence and papers
- Keep in touch with members views
- List and ask questions to assist your understanding prior to, or during Consultative Committee meetings
- Raise potential issues for discussion at Consultative Committee meetings
- Liaise and work with fellow Consultative Committee members

Nomination process
To be eligible to nominate, you must be a continuous or fixed term Professional staff member, who is either a member of the Defined Benefit Plan or Accumulation 2 (Investment Choice Plan) and who is elected by the Professional staff of Murdoch University who are likewise members of either plan.
You can nominate yourself. However, if you are nominating someone else, you must include their consent with the nomination. There is no nomination form, and no need for a nominator or seconder.
If you nominate, please supply a digital photograph and a biography or election statement of no more than 250 words. These will be included in an information sheet provided to voters. Ideally, you should provide these documents at the time of nominating. Please e mail these documents to Donna Simpson and Sharon Bishop at hrsuper@murdoch.edu.au.
Nominations end at 4pm Friday, 4 March 2016. Electoral statements and photos must also be submitted by this date.
Electronic voting system
Please note that the electronic voting system will be used for this election.
There may be instances where for reasons such as being in remote locations without network access, or due to disability, some staff may be unable to vote online. If for such reasons of special need you require a paper postal vote, please contact Lynette Darnell at L.Darnell@murdoch.edu.au or on extension 6544 before 4pm Friday, 4 March 2016.
