Shape Our Future: Security, Safety and Wellbeing video
posted 23 February 2016 | Staff Announcement - (staff)
Your feedback has helped Murdoch develop important Security, Safety and Wellbeing Guidelines on what to do during an on-campus emergency.
A short introductory video on better understanding and accessing the guidelines is now available.
At Murdoch, being safe and looking after each other is paramount. By knowing what to do during an emergency, and who can help, we can respond quickly and reduce the chance of harm.
The 2015 Voice survey highlighted the importance of safety and wellbeing awareness, along with the need to better communicate important University information to staff and students.
This feedback helped form the Murdoch Security, Safety and Wellbeing Guidelines - clear and concise guidance on necessary actions in the unlikely event of an emergency situation, as well as how to care for someone who may be injured, sick or distressed. It also contains important phone numbers, web links and a South Street campus map.
The guidelines can be accessed on the Murdoch and MyMurdoch staff home pages under the heading ‘What to do in an emergency’, while University staff will also receive a hard copy.
We hope these guidelines help you feel better prepared in the event of an emergency and more aware of the role we all play in remaining safe and well on-campus.
