OLT Extension grant: Curriculum renewal Date: 24th April 2013 Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Location: South Street Campus The activities of the Historical Thinking: Curriculum renewal at Murdoch extension grant will include several presentations and workshops facilitated by leaders from the two completed OLT grants that inform this project. This presentation is by Professor Jill Roe from Macquarie University. In this session findings from the original project will the discussed in the context of curriculum renewal, including topics such as, research skills in coursework units, capstone units, collaborative design, testing and appraisal of programs, assessment task design and standards of achievement, and graduate capabilities. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion. Professor Jill Roe AO is professor emerita in modern history at Macquarie University, Sydney. She is the author of Stella Miles Franklin. A Biography, now available as an e-book, and a long-standing member of the Editorial Board of the Australian Dictionary of Biography. She is currently working on aspects of the history of South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. With Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington, Jill was project leader on the Historical thinking in higher education OLT project. The project partners were Flinders, Monash and Sydney universities.
