Open Space Forums - share your feedback on ways we can improve life at Murdoch
posted 29 March 2016 | Staff Announcement - (staff)
Your feedback in our 2015 Voice Survey provided valuable insights on the things we’re doing right as a University and the opportunities ahead for continued improvement.
It was wonderful to see over 80% of survey respondents believe in our overall purpose, with 83% willing to put in extra effort to support the University.
Your responses also highlighted areas in which there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of Career Opportunities, Cross Unit Cooperation and Communication and Entrepreneurship.
To further discuss these themes and hear directly from staff on ways we can better work together, a series of Open Space Forums have been scheduled from April 5 to 7.
Open Space Forums provide an opportunity for detailed staff feedback and discussion on ways we can improve working life at Murdoch and present a proactive next step in Shaping Our Future.
Six (6) sessions have been planned to discuss the following topics:

You’ll see we’ve scheduled two Open Space Forums per topic to provide more opportunities for you to get involved and to ensure we canvas a wide range of staff experiences and suggestions. All sessions will be run by Brendan McKeague, an experienced group facilitator, who will lead these fluid and interactive staff workshops.
To help ensure forums remain on topic and fair, all attendees should familiarise themselves with the University’s stance on Conflict of Interest, Code of Conduct, Equal Opportunity, Bullying & Harassment and Diversity & Inclusion via the Murdoch eLearning Platform (MeLP).
Forum feedback will be collated and published on our Shape Our Future website, while also shared with our Senior Leadership Team, schools, offices and cross-functional projects for careful consideration now and into the future.
Register for session(s) you’d like to attend by visiting the Training Course Management System.
(Please note registration is essential.)
Open Space Forums are your opportunity to provide detailed feedback on ways we can build on our strengths and address areas for improvement across the University.
We look forward to your input and active participation in Shaping Our Future.
