Audio visual upgrade: phase one complete

posted 03 May 2016 | Staff Announcement - (staff)

First phase of learning space upgrades done; phase two to be completed by year's end.

The Audio Visual upgrade across all our learning spaces has commenced with 40 of our larger spaces now modernised (six lecture theatres and 34 tutorial rooms).

Phase two of the programme will be under way soon,
involving the upgrade of 54 venues in total (nine lecture theatres and 45 tutorial rooms).

This initiative provides all University stakeholders with access to high quality modern AV equipment including analogue and digital (HDMI) connections, wireless presentation capabilities (Apple TV), document cameras, touch panels and motorised projector screens.

Feedback from the upgrades has so far been very positive:

“We are very happy with the status of the programme which has been challenging to implement in the teaching break period. The ITS AV team led by Jarren Beveridge has delivered on time and with minimal impact upon teaching.  We thank the ITS AV team for their excellent work and look forward to the second phase of the project."
Professor Sara de Freitas, Pro Vice Chancellor Learning and Teaching

“It is just such a privilege having the technological equipment in the room and not having to carry heavy resources to the workshop. The students also benefit from having access to this for the oral presentations” - Carole Brady, Lecturer.

“Excellent, influences student behaviour!” - Anonymous.
