Programmed power outages at our South Street c.ampus

Please be advised that due to essential electrical maintenance, replacement works on one of Murdoch University’s HV cables (Sub 4 to Sub 24) will occur from Monday 27 June to Friday 1 July.

During this period, power outages will be experienced between the hours of 5:00am – 7:00am on the Monday (27/06) and 5:00am – 7:00am on the Friday (01/07).

Disruption to power will be experienced on substations 4 and 24, affecting the following:

Access to these building will be unavailable during power outage periods.

The schedule has been developed to mitigate risk to the campus, with affected buildings supplied by two generators located in the contractor parking bay opposite buildings 352/356, between buildings 351 and 352.

Power down your equipment
To minimise the risk of data loss and equipment damage, staff are advised to switch off computers and other equipment prior to the scheduled power shutdowns, ideally before leaving work the previous day.

Please ensure equipment of any colleagues who are not in the office is also checked and switched off.

During each outage general lighting, air conditioning and house power (GPOs) will not be available.
