Free Ranjini Day Murdoch Date: 06th May 2013 Time: 09:00 AM - 13:30 PM Location: South Street Campus Come and visit the Refugee Rights Action Network Market Daze stall this Thursday (9 May), and show your support for Ranjini - a Tamil refugee, who along with her children (one of which was born free in Australia) are being held indefinitely in detention. You can read more about the plight of Ranjini and her family, along with other refugees held in detention at http://rran.org/. RRAN will be providing two giant postcards for you to sign - one which we will send to Ranjini and her family, to share our support and solidarity; and the other for the government, to share our thoughts on the incarceration of Ranjini and her family, along with other refugees. RRAN also encourages staff and students to attend a candlelight vigil and procession in the city (from Wesley Uniting Church to the Cultural Centre), this Friday (10 May), starting at 5pm. You can get more information about the vigil and procession at the Market Daze stall this Thursday (9 May). We hope to see you this Thursday!
