Chilled water reticulation valve replacement project - excavation works

posted 05 July 2016 | Staff Announcement (staff)

Murdoch University is carrying out essential work replacing end of life plant on the Campus chilled water reticulation circuit, 10 excavations will be opened up around campus at varying stages within the next few months.

Works will involve the installation of valve chambers where none currently exist with the automation of new valves to increase system robustness and enable energy efficiencies to be implemented, cables will need to be run to each valve location and this will require some trenching works to install conduits where no current infrastructure exists.

The schedule has been developed to mitigate risk to the campus, this work is to be performed in the cooler months in order to minimise any impact on building temperatures, any buildings or essential services will be resolved on an individual basis.
