Reconciliation statement for email tagline
posted 02 August 2016 | Staff Announcement (staff)
Through its Reconciliation Action Plan 2015 - 2018, Murdoch University encourages staff and students to develop an understanding of ways to show respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage, and acknowledge the ongoing relationships that Traditional Owners have with the land.
The University has approved the option for staff members to include a Reconciliation statement on their Murdoch University email taglines.
Murdoch University is situated on Noongar Boodjar (Country), with the Perth and Rockingham campuses located on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar, and the Mandurah campus located on Pinjareb Noongar Boodjar.
It is important for staff members to be aware of the differences between the Perth, Rockingham and Mandurah campuses, and to be conscious of these differences when constructing a Reconciliation statement.
