Murdoch students encouraged to Think Big in 2016
posted 08 August 2016 | Staff Announcement (staff)
With so many bright student minds being put to work across Murdoch University, we know there are world-changing ideas just waiting to be explored.
That’s why we’re asking enrolled Murdoch students to share their bright ideas as part of Think Big 2016 – an innovation initiative between Murdoch University and Commonwealth Bank.
Enrolled Murdoch students are encouraged to form a team, sign up and show us what they’ve got as during the two-day event held in the Murdoch University Library.
Think Big 2016 presents participating teams with three real-world themes or problems, allowing students to choose one that inspires their thinking.
Participants then have just 30 hours to develop and pitch an idea that convinces a panel of judges that their team deserves a trip to Sydney for a Commonwealth Bank Innovation Lab experience.
The Think Big 2016 competition will be facilitated by Commbank Ideation and Innovation experts who will guide teams through a structured ideation process – helping develop team ideas while also equipping students with new skills for life.
Mentors will also be on hand throughout the event to guide and support students.

The winning team will be flown to Sydney as Commonwealth Bank's guest at their new world class Innovation Lab – a living to collaborate and rapidly explore ideas, test concepts, develop solutions and turn today’s imagination into tomorrow’s ground breaking solutions.
