Survey about your perceptions of business ethics and leadership styles

posted 23 August 2016 | Staff Announcement (staff)

Important note: This survey is for onshore staff and students at Murdoch University ONLY - please do not attempt if you are a staff or student in any of our offshore locations (Singapore/Dubai).

An ethical climate is crucial for business and governance. The creation of this ethical climate requires the development of a culture where each individual is driven to behave according to the prevailing and driving norms and values standardized by a society to enforce high moral standards.

Building on the theory of moral development, the purpose of this study is to determine which demographic factors of the respondents are related to ethical decision making. It will be interesting to know if culture, ethnicity and religious beliefs influence ethical decision making and leadership style.

This will help develop a framework incorporating perceptions from a variety of respondents from countries all over the world and would provide useful information to the academics and researcher to undertake further work in this field.

At this stage we intend to include students and staff in WA universities and will focus first on Murdoch University (onshore students and staff only). In the next stage would include other professionals and social groups and extend this research to all national universities and subsequently to major universities in this region.
