Learn effective skills for managing stress, anxiety and increasing focus via on campus acupuncture guided meditation workshops.
Murdoch University Health: Medical is offering acupuncture guided meditation workshops for staff wellness, led by Dr Su Lin Wan, specialist medical acupuncturist.
Workshop Details (max 8 participants per course):
The four-week workshop will run every Monday in November:
11:00am-12:00pm and repeated 12:30-1:30pm
ECL2.031 Postgraduate Suite 2nd Floor
You will learn qigong meditation techniques with the guidance of acupuncture including:
- Discover which type of meditation best suits your needs, and how different techniques can be useful at different times.
- Receive personal instruction, guidance and answers to your questions, and experience the benefits of guided qigong meditations in a friendly group setting.
You will leave this course with tools you need for your own daily meditation practice for wellbeing.
* Week One: Deep Relaxation for stress and anxiety
* Week Two: Natural Breathing Method (Abdominal breathing)
* Week Three: Meridian cleansing
* Week Four: Revision of Techniques
Costs
Part funded by Medicare with a gap fee of $30 per class, attendance is require for all four classes, deposit for attendance $30x 4 ( $120)

Dr Su Lin Wan
Dr Su Lin Wan currently has her GP acupuncture clinic in South Perth where she predominately practices acupuncture. Dr Wan is a registered general practitioner (RACGP) and medical acupuncturist with the Australian Medical Acupuncture College since 2010 having trained in Perth, Sydney and Japan.
As a certified Instructor of Master Liu De Ming, 5th generation lineage holder of the Ziran Qigong tradition, Dr Wan has been meditating for over 15 years.
Qigong incorporates a range of practices, principally cultivating the body, breath and mind. This has been a vital part of Chinese culture and medicine for over 2000 years. This is the foundation from which you will be learn your meditation practice through acupuncture and experience the benefits of relaxation and enhancing performance.
