Murdoch Researchers at all stages of their research careers are invited to the Research Bazaar 2017!

posted 06 December 2016 | Staff Announcement (staff)

Supported by all five of the WA universities, The Research Bazaar (ResBaz) is a three day community- and skills-building festival promoting the digital literacy emerging at the centre of modern research.

Research Bazaar (ResBaz for short) will be held at a number of university campuses around the globe.

The Perth site will be at Curtin University, 30 January — 1 February.

What is ResBaz?

ResBaz can deliver up to 50x increase* in research power (* based on traditional evidence). Three days of workshops will take you from zero to hero in vital digital research tools (Python? R? Nvivo?).

ResBaz is your chance to immerse yourself in a community of support aimed at helping you do your research better, faster and smarter. You'll have the opportunity to discover digital tools and services and the communities that have flourished around them.

ResBaz isn't your typical academic conference. It operates like a festival, bringing together a diverse community of researchers to learn from one another, develop potential collaborations, stimulate a sense of mentorship and share their research journey.

ResBaz is for anyone that considers themselves a researcher. The event is appropriate for all career stages and research areas - from honours students right through to professors, and professionals!

Come along

Hurry places are limited, demand is high and we want to make sure everybody has a fair chance of participating in this unique event. For this reason we ask you to fill in an application and tell us a little more about yourself and what you’d like to get out of the event. We’re also asking every applicant to design a poster telling us a little about yourself and the tools you use for your research.

Questions

There's no such thing as a stupid question. Please contact perth@resbaz.edu.au for further information.
