2016 Parking Permits expire 31 Jan! 2017 Staff Parking Permits must be displayed from 1 Feb.
posted 20 December 2016 | Staff Announcement (staff)
Murdoch University is pleased to advise staff 2017 parking permits will remain at 2016 rates!
2016 permits expire on 31 January 2017 therefore your valid 2017 parking permit must be displayed from 1 February 2017. Parking after this date contrary to the marked zones or with an invalid permit may result in a parking infringement being issued.
Murdoch campus staff (excluding temporary and casual status staff) can apply for their 2017 Yellow, Red or Green zone permit online from 5 January 2017 at Parking Permit Applications. The permit will be posted to the address nominated in the application within approx. two (2) working days of your application being processed.
All staff (including temporary and casual status staff) can purchase their 2017 permit directly from The Student Centre by completing an application form.
Please consider the online system as your first preference for acquiring your parking permit as the Student Centre becomes very busy as we approach the start of Semester 1, 2017.
The University remains committed to affordability and access for parking at Murdoch. Revenue from parking fees goes towards critical upgrades to our car parks, internal roads and associated key infrastructure including, drainage, lighting, irrigation, landscaping and security. More information on new parking project initiatives will be shared early in 2017.
The full schedule of parking fees can be found at http://our.murdoch.edu.au/Campus-and-Facilities-Management-Office/Our-services/Parking-on-campus/Parking-permits-and-fees/#parking-fees
If you currently have a payroll deduction for parking (including salary packaged parking) you do not have to re-apply for 2017 as the Student Centre will post your 2017 permit to the address recorded on the Parking database. Please note that this might not be the same address recorded in the Human Resources system so if it has changed since your last parking permit you need to update it via the parking website http://parking.murdoch.edu.au/ . Unfortunately the University cannot offer payroll deductions to temporary/casual staff.
If you have a reserved parking bay that is not paid for via payroll deduction, you will be contacted by The Student Centre in shortly to have your 2017 permit issued. If you do not wish to renew your personal reserved parking permit please contact: parking@murdoch.edu.au
