Staff action required

To further support the health of our IT equipment and security of the data we hold, IT Services will be carrying out security upgrades and a wifi improvement over the coming weeks. Detailed below are those occurring in the coming fortnight for your awareness and action.

 

• From Monday 22 May through to Friday 26 May, all Windows PCs will be provided with an enhanced Anti-Virus update. This update will download and install to each PC, then will prompt for a reboot of the PC. We advise you to save all active work and reboot at this time. If you choose not to reboot at this time, your PC will carry out a forced reboot at 3am AWST on Sunday 28^th of May.

 

• Saturday 3 June between 8am-8.30am AWST an upgrade to the on campus wireless infrastructure will be occurring. During this time, eduroam (wifi) will be unavailable on the Perth, Mandurah and Rockingham campuses.
