Tree Planting– Volunteers Wanted: Banksia Woodland

Location: South Street Campus - meet at the corner of Campus Drive & Farrington Rd, Murdoch Campus (opposite Kennedy Baptist College)

Come help us plant and mulch habitat trees and shrubs in the beautiful Banksia Woodland Reserve. Revegetation of this site began in 2012 to create habitat for endangered black cockatoos, quendas and small birds in this part of campus. Come along and do your bit for the environment whilst soaking up the ambience of the stunning Banksia Woodland Reserve, a part of the Beeliar Regional Park right here on campus.


Students, staff and community are all welcome, but children must be over 4 years old and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.  Please come for as long or as little as you’re able- ALL help is appreciated!

We’ll supply: gloves and tools (though you can bring your own gloves and a spade/trowel if you have them), training and a free sausage sizzle afterward.  A range of tasks is available for different abilities.

BYO: sturdy closed-in shoes, clothing appropriate to getting dusty and for the weather, your drink bottle, hat.

Students: time volunteered will count toward your developmental transcript (40 hours required over a 12 month period).
