LIS is running an IT Equipment Recycling Week

LIS will be offering its biannual IT Equipment recycling service between the dates of the 24th of June and the 28th of June.

Please drop off all obsolete IT equipment (no house hold electrical goods are permitted) outside of Science and Computing Building walkway near Room 1.038.

Computers fitted with a  hard disk or any other storage media (eg. USB flash drives, memory cards, CDROMs/DVDs, backup tapes)  may contain confidential data.    Drop these off between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM at Room 1.038.   Ring the doorbell and one of the IT staff will collect these from you and hold these securely inside the building

What you need to know before disposing of IT equipment:

1. Identify with your school or office any IT equipment that needs to be recycled.

2. Complete any necessary asset disposal paperwork and send to the Finance Office.

3. Remove all asset stickers.

4. Do NOT drop off non IT items electrical items such as toasters, fridges, microwave ovens

5. NO items to be dropped off after Friday 28th June.
