Interested in Innovation and Commercialisation? - Final Week

This is an opportunity for researchers and graduate students to learn about educational program, mentoring and networking opportunities and grant schemes to assist in getting ready for commercialisation.

Jane Garrett, Ignition Program Director will present on all-encompassing forthcoming 5-day Ignition program designed to provide researchers with the tools, resources and motivation to prepare their ideas for the business world. The program runs from Sunday afternoon (1 Sept 2013) to Friday evening (6 Sept 2013), and comprises a blend of educational teaching sessions, small group mentoring, expert one-to-one clinics and an opportunity to network with successful innovators and professional experts that will help you transform your idea and prepare it for commercialisation. Murdoch University will be providing two scholarships for employees/graduate students to participate in the Ignition program. For more information see www.ignition.curtin.edu.au

Sheryl Frame, Case Manager Commercialisation Australia will present the four different grants that Commercialisation Australia program provides to assist researchers to convert their intellectual property into successful commercial ventures. The grant program ismore than just funding – it offers a wealth of expertise through its case manager and expert network to assistparticipants in getting the best value from the grant. Ken Green, SME Engagement Manager will present Enterprise Connect’s Researchers in Business grant scheme which enables researchers to work on high impact innovation projects with small to medium size businesses lasting between 2-12 months. If you are a researcher interested in working with companies on a research project then this grant scheme could help fund the opportunity for you to do so.
