Join the Alumni Relations team on Thursday 14 September on Upper Bush Court to celebrate what would have been Sir Walter Murdoch's 143rd birthday. The team will be handing out cake from 12pm -1pm and we would like you to join this special celebration.

Sir Walter Logie Forbes Murdoch was a popular essayist and University professor and Chancellor, born on 17 September 1874.

When the Premier Sir Charles Court advised Sir Walter Murdoch that the WA State Governement was to name its second university after him, he responded with "it had better be a good one!"
