posted 19 September 2017 | Staff Announcement (staff)
I am delighted to announce that Murdoch University's Dr Peter le Breton has been awarded a national Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning, as part of the Australian Awards for University Teaching, administered by the Department of Education and Training.
Dr le Breton, who teaches in the On-Track enabling course in the Centre for University Teaching and Learning (CUTL), was awarded for: Inspiring pre-university students to pursue their calling or callings wholeheartedly, by nurturing love of learning, demystifying criticality and literacy, modeling a ‘growth’ mindset, and building self-efficacy.
This award is valued at $10,000. Peter will receive his Citation at a state based ceremony this week.
Congratulations to Peter for his excellent contribution to learning and teaching at Murdoch University and for this outstanding national recognition. At Murdoch University we are proud of our traditions for high quality learning and teaching and rely upon our inspired staff to maintain this culture of excellence.
