Murdoch Maps 2

We have been listening!
Murdoch Maps, Murdoch University’s very own campus navigation tool has seen around 3000 visits a week since its launch in March 2017! In that time, we have also received beneficial feedback from more than 60 people on how we can make the tool even better.
You told us: “I can’t work out where Bush Court is I use that to work out how to get around…”
We have: Highlighted green spaces (including Bush Court) and given clarity to all walking pathways and roads.
You told us: “I am a wheelchair user and would benefit from knowing where lifts are …”
We have: Added a lift option from the left-hand navigation, so you can easily see your movement options in buildings.
You told us: “I can’t work out which building I am near; I know most buildings by name …”
We have: Added in names and numbers for all buildings, as default you will see building numbers and when you zoom in you will see the name.
A further 75% of feedback has been addressed, with improvements made in both the look and feel, as well as what information is available within the tool!
Our Students have also benefited from the addition of this tool within their MyInfo: Personal Calendars. Students can now select a link that directs them, via Murdoch Maps, to their room, laboratory or theatre for each of their sessions!
Please take a moment to try out the refreshed Murdoch Maps navigation tool and share your experience with us here!
