posted 31 October 2017 | Staff Announcement (staff)

The annual Teaching and Learning Forum (TLF) is on 1-2 February 2018. The Call for Papers and Workshop Proposals is now out and registrations are open. The TLF is a supportive environment of WA colleagues in which to disseminate your learning and teaching innovation.

The theme for 2018 is Student Futures. This Forum aims to include presentations that highlight and explore the student experience; past, present and future, with an emphasis on key knowledge, skills and applications that aim to enhance student learning and equip 21st-century graduates. Some topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Curriculum
  • Assessment Flexible learning
  • Employability
  • Analytics
  • Internationalisation and Global learning
  • Students as partners

Where appropriate, presenters are encouraged to be as interactive and collaborative in their presentations as possible.

An abstract presentation is delivered in a 25 minute time slot. Abstract submissions may be made by those who would like to present their work at the forum, but who do not want, or are not ready, to have it refereed or published.

Full papers should not exceed 6,000 words, including abstracts and references. You are limited to one first author for a paper, although there is no limit on the number of times a person may appear as a second or subsequent author.

Workshops will be given 90 minutes, enabling detailed discussion and interactive consideration of topics and issues. Workshops enable participants to work with experts in specific areas to acquire knowledge, enhance skills and develop broader perspectives.

Due Date for Abstracts, Full Papers and Workshop Proposals is Monday, 20 November 2017
