'The Launchpad' and a facelift for the 24/7 Learning Common: Coming to the Library in 2018
posted 21 November 2017 | Staff Announcement (staff)
The Library is excited to announce a new space, 'The Launchpad', along with the refurbishment the 24/7 Learning Common at the Geoffrey Bolton Library.
When Semester 1 starts in 2018, students will have access to:
- 'The Launchpad', a creative innovation space for students, employers, professional bodies, innovators and entrepreneurs to come together to work on collaborative projects, attend events and seminars, learn from industry leaders and access support from Murdoch’s Careers and Work Integrated Learning teams; and
- a refurbished 24/7 Learning Commons on Level 2, with a range of different seating options to support independent study.
During the Semester break, starting midday Saturday, 25 November 2017, refurbishment works will be happening in the Library, and a few areas will be closed. We have worked hard to make sure as many services as possible will remain available.
The Library team will still be available at the front of the Library, through the Bush Court entrance, and will be more than happy to help you out with anything you need while the works are happening. We look forward to welcoming you to the Library in 2018, and sharing our exciting new developments!
