Enhancing Postgraduate Supervision (EPGS)

The broad aims are to enhance quality teaching, learning and research for all students at the postgraduate level.

Aims: 
This is done by:

• ensuring academic staff are aware of policy and procedures relating to postgraduate research; and
• enhancing and improving supervisory skills to facilitate timely completion of student theses.

Outcomes
Participants who complete the entire program will:
• understand policy and procedure relating to doctoral supervision, and ethical requirements;
• implement effective strategies for creating a productive learning environment for postgraduate supervision; and
• demonstrate the capacity to critically reflect on your experience and that of others.

Enrolment Requirements
Applicants should be beginning supervisors of research higher degrees.  Enrolment is not open to sessional staff or postgraduate students.
