Contribution Development Reviews (CDR)
posted 22 January 2018 | Staff Announcement (staff)
Over the next two months, a new Contribution Development Review (CDR) will be introduced to provide a simpler, quicker process to set goals and recognise staff performance.
The easy-to-use system, developed by People and Culture following review and feedback on previous systems, will form the foundation for enhanced talent development and workforce planning.
Replacing both the Academic Performance and Development Review and MyCareer processes, the CDR sets a one-year cycle in which to plan, support and review progress.
This includes:
- A 2018 contribution plan (to be completed between January and February 2018);
- A mid-term contribution review (recommended between June and July 2018 or at the area’s convenience)
- A 2018 contribution review (to be finalised between January and February 2019).
As part of a phased transition to the new CDR form, staff are asked to complete the 2018 contribution plan online. The review component of 2017’s performance should be completed on the hardcopy MyCareer form or Academic Performance Development Review form and uploaded onto the online CDR form.
The following are recommended to assist staff and supervisors commencing the CDR process.
- SMART Goals e-Learning Module to help set goals that align with operational/team goals.
- Demonstration sessions to familiarise with the new online form
- Enabling Conversational e-Learning Module
- Face-to-face Enabling Conversational workshop (follow on from e-Learning module)
Staff are encouraged to participate in the e-learning modules and face-to-face sessions by clicking on the links above to enrol.
