This new room is set up with more collaborative way of working, allowing you to coordinate computer-based activities across a group of up to 36 students, across six pods. This purpose built space aims to provide a collaborative environment where students and staff can share and engage on each other’s work/tasks. While the room was primarily established to support student activities, the room is also available for staff activities. Here are some technical bits to assist you in planning your first flexible learning space session! Each table/pod can accommodate six students, with six tables in the room. Each pod has two large LCD screens (one above another) The top screen shows the group the facilitator screen (activity overview/demo, etc…). The bottom screen is the display for each individual pod computer, where the group can work on a task and collaborate as a group. You can bring up any pod’s screen and present it to the whole room via the main display, or share it across all pods on their top screen! You can present from a PC, Laptop, document camera, AppleTV, PodPC or PodBYOD. Students can also attach their own laptops to their Pod’s screen, rather than using the provided pod computer.
