International Women's Day Breakfast Wrap-up In celebration of International Women's Day last Thursday 8 March, over 60 staff members joined us for breakfast and to hear from three incredible guest speakers; Jenna Woods, Jomana Al-Nu'airat and Professor Romy Lawson (left to right). Speakers were then invited to participate in a Q&A panel, where staff were encouraged to have their say on gender equality at Murdoch University. Thank you to everyone who got involved in the event and helped us #PressforProgress. As part of the day, Murdoch staff were invited by the SAGE Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team to complete the Diversity and Equality Survey. Please take the time to complete the survey if you haven’t done so already. All attendees at the event were invited to have their say on gender equality at Murdoch University, in order to receive a sage plant to take home. Here’s what you said: Supportive supervisors and managers who promote a healthy work/life balance Flexibility and work/life balance is a top priority for female employees There’s a need for better childcare options at MU and option to salary sacrifice Implementation of a mentor program for female staff Photos from the event can be found here. Please Note: Due to the nature of the Diversity and Equality Survey, all responses are completely anonymous and confidential. Surveys are completed via a generic link and no names, employment IDs or any other forms of personal identification will be collected. At no point will individual responses or the raw data file be made available to Murdoch University staff or any third party. This is how the announcement will appear on the Announcements website.Only the title will be included in the emailed version.
