Workforce Collaboration Project : Office 365 You told us: Collaborating digitally with each other and external people in an easy, seamless way is essential to you and your teams’ productivity. So, what are we going to do about it?..... At the end of 2017, IT Services with the support of Velrada (Consultant) carried out some interviews with 50+ representatives from across the University. These interviews focused on identifying what is the “real” support need and requirements our staff need for day to day work. With over 20 collaboration tools or methods used currently; it became apparent that to be able to share documents easily, collaborate on the development of documents and communicate effectively, is of vital needs to our staff. To bring this to life, the Workforce Collaboration Project team has been formed! This project team is made up of both representatives from across the university, IT services and representatives from Velrada (who have industry-wide knowledge of the use of Microsoft applications). The project has kicked off its first wave of work, focused on identifying a governance structure and leading practices of each application that is available to us on the Microsoft Office 365 Education licence. Over the last month, the groundwork has been laid on the new governance structure and support framework. Over the next few months, we will be piloting this structure and support to see if it is providing the right benefits. Between now and the completion of the pilots the Microsoft Office 365 applications will be refined to just those that are already available to you (Outlook, Yammer, Skype for Business). Once the pilots are complete, and we have a successful, supportive framework in place we will make available to you those applications that will serve you best. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the progress of the project, please visit the Office365 Moodle page. This is how the announcement will appear on the Announcements website. Only the title will be included in the emailed version.
