Wear red and your name badge for Orientation Week

During Orientation Week we will welcome new students to Murdoch University, with many activities and events occurring from Monday to Friday, 23-27 July.

As you can imagine, students will be feeling a little overwhelmed and anxious in a new environment and will be wanting to connect and make new friends.  We know the more our students feel welcome and start to build a network within Murdoch, the greater their chances of being successful.  To help our students identify staff members easily and ensure they feel welcome and supported during Orientation Week, we are asking staff at Murdoch to ‘Wear red and your name badge’ from Monday to Friday.

Questions you may be asked will include students trying to find buildings, so please show them how to download the Murdoch Safe App which includes ‘Murdoch Maps’ and if possible walk them to where they need to go.  For any questions you are unable to answer please refer students to the Student Centre.

If you can also wear a Murdoch polo that will help you stand out in the crowd even more!
