IRMA Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Module Released

We are pleased to announce the enhancement of the Integrated Research Management Application (IRMA) system. The HDR module to support postgraduate candidature management is now live for Business and Governance postgraduates.

Note: This service is live for Business and Governance postgraduates only at this time. Other schools will be contacted to confirm when they can roll onto this service. 

The deployment of the HDR module provides functionality for post graduate students to monitor and manage the progress of their studies electronically, rather than the manual paper-based approach used historically.

Our academic staff who support postgraduate students will also see benefits in improved access to progress reporting, which in turn will allow them to manage and monitor their student's progression more effectively.

The system is internet based and is available via any web-enabled device that means both students and academic staff can access the information on the go.

This is a positive step forward for the University, as it will:

• Benefit from the introduction of automated workflow and the removal of paper-based tracking/monitoring

• Postgraduate students can quickly see their progress and they can use this to support conversations with their academic staff

• Assist in the more effective management of research candidatures to help improve completion rates and better financial returns for the University.
