Vice Chancellor's External Advisory Board It gives me great pleasure to announce the establishment of the Vice Chancellor’s External Advisory Board, which met for the first time last night. We have reached out to an outstanding group of local, national and international thought leaders, many with existing links to the Murdoch community. The establishment of the Board is an important part of our new 2017-2027 Strategic Plan and Future Horizon as we seek to build more collaborative partnerships with business, industry and government. The Board’s 17 members have several decades’ worth of valuable insights into the economic, political, social and educational machinations of our wider society. Their role will be to advise and guide the University’s Senior Executive Group as we define our future path and pursue our research, education and innovation goals. Their backgrounds cover international trade; higher education; banking and finance; politics; the environment; public policy; the Arts and innovative industries. Each member of my External Advisory Board has been selected for their strong networks, their vision and their professional tenacity. Together we will work to ensure that Murdoch realises its vision of becoming a global leading university which educates free thinkers and provides innovative solutions to the world’s big challenges. With warm regards, Eeva Vice Chancellor This is how the announcement will appear on the Announcements website. Only the title will be included in the emailed version.
