Murdoch staff receive Vice Chancellors Awards for Excellence in Learning and Teaching 2018 recipients awarded for excellence in learning and teaching at Murdoch University. I am delighted to announce that the Vice Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Learning and Teaching 2018 have now been awarded to exemplary Murdoch University staff. These awards are designed to recognise the many and varied contributions that combine to create effective learning environments at Murdoch. The following recipients are to be commended for their outstanding contribution to learning and teaching: Dr Mike van Keulen, School of Veterinary and Life Sciences In the category of General Teaching Excellence Dr Melissa Merchant, School of Arts In the category of Early Career Teaching Each recipient will receive an award payment of $5000, which can be used for the further enhancement of learning and teaching at Murdoch, and a certificate presented at the 2019 staff awards ceremony. More information about each recipient’s award may be viewed on the Learning and Teaching Awards website. The recipients have been invited to nominate for a LEAD Academy Fellowship. Congratulations and a sincere thank you to these colleagues for their excellent contributions to student learning and teaching at Murdoch.
