Research and Innovation Forum with Professor Jeremy Nicholson We recently launched the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC), a development that will play a significant part in our basic and translational research work in the years ahead. We were also delighted to announce internationally-renowned pioneer in metabolic phenotyping and systems medicine, Professor Jeremy Nicholson as the new leader of the ANPC and embryonic Health Futures Institute at Murdoch. Since the launch, Jeremy has been speaking to key members of government, industry, funders and the media about his incredible vision for the ANPC. We would like to invite you to a special Research and Innovation Forum where he will share his thoughts on the relevance of phenomics for the wider university community across our key areas of health, food and the environment. In particular, Jeremy will discuss the wide range of possibilities that exist for collaboration and engagement with not only the ANPC but the International Phenome Centre Network (IPCN) that Murdoch will lead from now on. Titled Phenomics – new opportunities for Health Food and the Environment, the forum will take place in the Kim E Beazley Lecture Theatre (351.1.001) on Wednesday 21 November from 12pm. There will also be time at the end of the forum for a Q&A with Jeremy. I look forward to seeing you there. David Morrison Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Innovation
