Start the new year right with crossrope training From Thursday 10 January, Murdoch Mail and Logistics Coordinator, Vincent Kelley will conduct twice-weekly High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Crossrope classes on Bush Court and other places around campus. Crossrope is a weighted skipping rope used for fitness and conditioning. The body needs to work harder to swing the heavy rope, which engages more muscles and burns more calories. Vincent Kelley has been skipping with a crossrope for 14 months, and has lost more than 20kg. "When you use a heavy rope all the benefits are amplified," Vincent said. "It is now my passion, and I would love to share that passion with Murdoch staff and students." For the next six months, Vincent will host two 15-minute crossrope classes on Thursdays and Fridays at: 11.45 to 12pm and 12pm to 12.15pm on both days. Numbers are limited to 12 participants in each class, and those who take part will receive a free t-shirt while stocks last.
