Careers Week 2019

The Careers team are hosting two major industry events for graduating/recently graduated students!

Arts, Business and Law Career Boot Camp

Thursday 28th February | 10am - 2:30pm | Library Launchpad

The Arts, Business and Law one-day intensive boot camp will provide graduating students and recent graduates with a range of information and tips to help equip them for their transition into graduate employment. Attendees will:

  • Develop their professional presentation skills
  • Enhance how they promote what they have to offer
  • Brush up on interview skills
  • Network with industry representatives in their field.

This event will cost $15 (with allowances made for financial hardship).

Organisations attending include Accenture, Bankwest, Chamber of Commerce and IndustryCorrs Chambers Westgarth, Deloitte, PwC, Department of TreasuryGrant Thornton Australia and more!

Registrations for this event will close on Wednesday 20th February and a similar Boot Camp will be run for STEM students later in the year (details TBA).

 

Graduate Careers Expo

Wednesday 6th March | 11am - 1pm | Library Launchpad

The Graduate Careers Expo will welcome a variety of employers on to campus to showcase their graduate and early career development programs exclusively to Murdoch University students and recent graduates.

Students/recent graduates that are hoping to commence a graduate program or enter the graduate job market in 2019/2020 can use the Graduate Careers Expo to:

  • Ask questions about graduate and early career programs
  • See which organisations are hiring graduates in 2019/2020
  • Network with representatives from a variety of local, national and international companies.

Organisations attending include the Australian Federal Police, Alcoa, Australian Taxation Office, Bankwest, City of Rockingham, EY, Public Transport Authority, PwC, Woodside and many more!

We will also welcome the Migration Institute of Australia straight after this event to speak with all international students about the different Pathways to Permanent Residency. Find out more about that session here.
